Christian Education Program
We believe that children and their families benefit greatly from our “Christian Education Program.” Through the use of fun crafts, games, learning activities, stories and service projects, the children experience the joy of learning about good Christian values such as love, kindness, compassion, respect and honesty.
Preschoolers receive more attention to enhance their motor skills and all senses in learning. We are proud of our Anchorage preschool classes and the fine care that each child entrusted to our program receives.
Commitment to Program/Environment:
At Bright Beginnings we provide a clean, safe and secure environment offering children enjoyable, hands-on activities designed to encourage exploration and growth while building self-esteem. Our program focuses on helping young children enhance their gross and fine motor skills and use all senses in learning. We do this with projects, circle times, group play activities, and free play. At Bright Beginnings, our classrooms are organized to maintain a clean, colorful, organized, child-sized and safe environment in which the children can trust and belong. Centers are structured to allow for group spaces, as well as individual play and development.
Commitment to our Teachers:
Our teachers model and communicate to children the appropriate ways to express themselves and interact and problem solve with others. Our teachers are committed to offering children a comprehensive learning experience that will prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond. Above all, we want our children to have fun during their time with us.
Commitment to Parent Involvement:
At Bright Beginnings we see daily communication with parents as very important. Parents are welcome at any time to observe, have lunch or just stop by for a hug. Our teachers are very supportive of parents and encourage parent involvement. Please feel free to share with our teachers and staff about your child’s development or any concerns you may have. We at Bright Beginnings always welcome suggestions on how we can better care for your child.
The curriculum at Bright Beginnings offers a variety of exciting and stimulating activities. Each week we have different themes that keep us learning new things. During the day, we have time for projects, circle and group time, as well as learning center time in the classroom. The learning centers typically include space for:Free Play
- House, Kitchen and Dramatic play
- Music and Movement
- Table Toys
- Outdoors Time
- Daily Art
- Sensory Table
- Gross Motor Activity
At Bright Beginnings we have a special play yard just for our preschoolers. This is equipped with age appropriate climbers, slides, and ride-on toys that will enhance your child’s large motor development, and provide for many fun hours of outdoor fun.
